Di peringkat awal semasa menuntut sebagai pelajar di Maahad Tahfiz al-Quran, sentiasa terlibat dan mewakili maahad di dalam Majlis Hafazan Peringkat Negeri dan juga Kebangsaan, serta pernah menjadi johan di kedua-dua peringkat tersebut. Kini bertugas sebagai Ketua Jabatan Pengajian Tahfiz di Institut al-Quran Terengganu (dahulu dikenali sebagai Maahad Tahfiz al-Quran Negeri Terengganu), berpengalaman hampir 20 tahun dalam bidang tahfiz al-Quran, aktif dalam program-program peningkatan hafazan al-Quran, ceramah-ceramah, kursus-kursus dan sebagainya.
